Shannon Outen - Administrative Assistant, Pastoral Ministries
Shannon Outen, Administrative Assistant for Pastoral Ministries, can find something positive to say in any situation. Shannon is almost always joyful, and as a hard worker she takes advantage of every moment of the day. Shannon began working as Andy Lewis’ assistant in 2008, and has been a member of Mitchell Road since 1996.
If you ask Shannon why she loves her job so much, she’ll tell you her favorite part is watching the pastors un-ashamedly give bear hugs and say “I love you man!” to each other. All in all, she enjoys doing her part to help the church run smoothly. Awkward moments include any Sunday morning she opens the bulletin to find she has made a grammatical error! Those that need a pick-me-up during the day need only to venture to Shannon’s office, and are guaranteed to leave with a smile on their face.
Outside of work, you will often find Shannon spending time with her husband, Hal, her son, Zach, or with Cinco, her puppy. Shannon is a fan of exercise (especially running), hiking and camping, and attending her son’s athletic games. She sings every moment she can, and enjoys photography.
