Saviour Oratorio—Palm Sunday, April 1, 6 pm

Every three years we present this Gospel-saturated choral masterwork, “Saviour: The Story of God’s Passion for his People”.

The chorus always grows larger for this work, and some singers who have moved out of town will return, just to be part of it.

Our featured bass soloist, the stentorian Keith Hensel, is coming from Florida to sing the voice of God in the garden.

A contemporary work, this piece is infused with classic elements of an oratorio, a choral work telling a dramatic story (but without costumes or sets).

Astute listeners will hear touches reminiscent of Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Handel’s Messiah amid modern stylings that evoke the work of Wintley Phipps, Steve Green and Larnelle Harris.

Space is limited.  Doors open at 5:30 pm for this love offering concert—nursery is provided.  New singers are welcome to join.
