2012 Bill Baer Memorial Pinewood Derby is here!
The 2012 Bill Baer Memorial Pinewood Derby is here! Beginning February 15th, fathers and sons (grades K5-5th) will work on building their own race cars on Wednesday nights. Race Day is set for Wednesday, March 28 at 6:00pm. Kits are $5.00. Awards will be given for Fastest Car, Best Paint Job, Sportiest Design, Best Detail, Best Overall Design, Best Use of Weights, and Most Creative Design.
February 15: Introduction to Race; Sell/Distribute kits; cut out car designs from block of wood
February 22: Sell/distribute kits; cut-out car designs from block of wood
February 29: Sand and work on cars
March 7: Sand and work on cars
March 14: Work session on cars; sanding and painting; unofficial weigh-in
March 21: Final fine tuning of cars
March 28: Race Day!!
6:00pm - Official car registration/qualification, weigh-in;
6:30pm RACES BEGIN!
