Join the Conversation! Community Group Testimonials

Encouragement… Relationships… Connecting with the Church… A deeper understanding of the Word of God… Family...  These are some of the themes heard over and over from members who are plugged- in to one of 33 Community Groups.

Community Groups meet in various homes across Greenville County each Sunday evening (except the 1st Sunday of the month) from 5:30-7:00pm to share a meal, fellowship, and a deeper study of God's word. Weekly studies relate to the current sermon series and its relevance to our daily lives.  Members pray together and encourage one another in brotherly love.  A sense of being a part of an extended family is fostered over time.

If you are a member of one of our community groups, join the conversation and tell us what Community Group means to you.

Heard this week:

"Community groups have provided a way for me to form relationships with people I would normally not cross paths with at church. It's especially been awesome to meet people at Mitchell Road from other age groups. They have truly created a better sense of community.”

"It has been great meeting and getting to know more young couples and sharing stories together. I have really enjoyed having accountability with some of the guys in the group. I have enjoyed talking about the sermon from that morning and hearing everybody's thoughts. "

"Community group is great to connect in a deeper way to the church. It is so encouraging to hear about other's walks with the Lord from all stages of life."

"I have been encouraged by my community group this year. It is so encouraging knowing that there are other people going through what I am going through. We can encourage each other in these circumstances through the Gospel."

"My community group has been my family, filling a void especially after I graduated from Furman and decided to stay in Greenville. This group has also been an instrument in God's hand to encourage and sharpen my application and understanding of His precious word."
