Children's Choirs celebrate the birth of Christ
On December 11, The Children's Festival of Christmas Music brought together children and youth of all ages to honor the birth of our Savior and King.
The evening began as New Bells rang their bells sweetly throughout the Sanctuary, in tune with "Ding, Dong Merrily on High".
Dressed up in white gowns with red bows, the Cherubs Choir sweetly sang "Come On, Ring Those Bells" as they rang simple jingle bells. Additional traditional Christmas hymns were sung, such as "Away in a Manger", "Mary's Boy Child", "Go Tell It on the Mountain", "What Can I Give Him?", "Joy Came to the World" and "He Is Born!"
The Kingdom Kids choir, utilizing their flute, bells, finger cymbals, and tambourine talents, sang "Emmanuel Will Come". The hymns "Mary, Mary" and Ding, Dong! Merrily on High/He Is Born", "See the Glowing Star", "A Winter Night", and "Bell Carol" (accompanied by New Bells) were also sung beautifully by the Kingdom Kids choir.
New Bells joyfully rang throughout the evening, even accompanying the congregation in singing "Away in a Manger" prior to three talented soloists singing "Baloo, Lammy" in harmony. Scripture was read throughout the evening by Kingdom Kids, and included Galations 4:4-7 and Psalm 98:1-6. The evening concluded with a loud chorus of "Joy to the World" by all.
Indeed, let us receive our King, and every heart prepare him room...
