Sunday School—2 years to 5th grade
Sunday School takes place from 9:50 to 10:50am. This serves as the primary teaching time for our children as they attend classes divided by grade level. This time is devoted to focusing the children on God as Creator, Redeemer and Lord over all life. We believe in teaching the Bible as the complete and unified counsel of God, where His covenant of grace is revealed from Genesis to Revelation.
Wednesday Evening
Classes are offered for children nursery age through 5th grade from 6:45 to 8:00pm. With so many demands being placed on families in our culture, we have made the effort to keep Wednesday evenings casual while teaching them specific covenant promises of God.
Children in Worship
We believe in family worship of our Triune God. In children’s ministry, we are training our covenant children in the elements of worship along with what it means to worship God “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24).
Each Sunday morning during the 8:45 and 11:00am worship hours, we hold a special service for K4 and K5 children. Children are dismissed just prior to the sermon for a time of prayer, singing, and teaching. During our time, we are using the children’s catechism questions as the topic of our lessons.
Children’s Choirs
Our children’s choirs, under the direction of Steve Lawton, Director of Ministry and Worship, invite children ages 4 through 6th grade to participate in this exciting music program. Choirs enjoy singing for the congregation in worship and special events as an outgrowth of their focus on both music education and training in worship.
- CHERUBS in Training—K4, Wednesday from 6:45-7:15pm
- CHERUBS—K5 and 1st grade, Wednesday from 6:45-7:15pm
