Cindy Payne - Youth and Children's Ministry Assistant
Cindy Payne, Youth and Children’s Ministry Assistant, has been working for Mitchell Road in various capacities since 1997. She enjoys being involved in ministry, being around children and youth of all ages, and building relationships with staff and church members. It’s a job that keeps her very busy during the day.
Cindy is married to Jeff, the minister at Holland Park Church, and raised two sons who attended Mitchell Road Christian Academy. She grew up in Arkansas, and received a B.S. in Elementary Education at Eastern Michigan University. She has lived and worked in churches in Michigan, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Alabama, and South Carolina.
Fond of teaching the Bible to all ages (often alongside her husband), Cindy also works as a Children’s ministry coordinator and Bible class teacher at Holland Park Church. Dependable and devoted to her work, Cindy follows the principle of one of her favorite quotes, “To whom much is given, much is required.”
Truly a sports enthusiast, Cindy’s family activities often revolve around athletic events, particularly football and basketball games. When the topic of music comes up, Cindy will tell you she enjoys REAL music sung by greats such as James Taylor, Hall & Oates, Earth Wind and Fire or the Doobie Brothers.
